Myths & Magicry

Card Formation Game Mechanics

Standing cards--along with any force cards based therein--can be moved at the end of a player's turn into one of four card formations. Twins formation provides both cards in the formation a +1/+1 advantage, i.e., an increase of one attack point and one defense point.

Example card formation- Myths & Magicry - Twins Position

Front-back position adds nothing to the front card but allows the back card to attack twice instead of once per round, if it has a ranged weapon.

Example card formation- Myths & Magicry - Front-Back Position

Flanking position adds nothing to the cards in back but allows the "focus" card to attack at +3.

Example card formation- Myths & Magicry - Flanking Position

Defensive position adds nothing to the cards in front but allows the "focus" card to defend at +3.

Example card formation- Myths & Magicry - Fortress Position

The effects of positions are cumulative, as shown in the following example.
