The Universal Toolbar Utility allows website owners to donate a portion of all revenue generated through toolbar commerce to a charity of their choice. An icon also appears indicating that the website owner uses a certified solar-powered web hosting service.

Similarly, shoppers can select a charity to which a portion of all dollars transacted through toolbar commerce can be donate through a pull-down menu displayed in the UTU.

These mechanisms make the Web's most powerful payment and bonding service also a valuable means to incentivize and simplify charitable donations and ecologically sound practices.
