Embedded Code Authentication System for Verifying Website Owner Accounts

A website owner creates an account with the UAML service provider and receives a unique code, generated by the UAML provider. The website owner then embeds this code in a tag in a web page at a specified URL.

The UAML provider then parses the page at the specified URL to determine whether the code has in fact been embedded in the page. If so, then the UAML provider knows that this account holder has power over the given URL. The UAML provider can therefore allow this account holder access to information pertinent to that particular URL.
